About

A desire to create simple, elegant and timeless pieces has driven Fionas creativity from a young age. She learnt to sew and make from her Mother, during long quiet school holidays on a small farm in Central West NSW, and decided early on that it was a career in a creative field that would be where she would land.

It was not long into her studies in Fashion Design that Fiona realised her skills and her heart lay with the accessories and not so much the clothes, and so a progression into Millinery became a lucky path she found herself on. The industry offered her the outlet for her design eye, but also allowed a hands on creative process. At heart, she has always been a maker, and she continues the craft throughout her day to day process.

Each hat is made in her small workroom in Orange NSW, where she creates new designs seasonally, allowing the range to evolve in a slow and considered way. “New pieces are often driven by a desire to create a feeling, not just a product. That intangible quality that allows the person and product to shine equally.”

Fiona lives in Orange NSW with her husband Max, a fellow creative and business owner in the food industry. They have three sons and a poodle.

“NEW PIECES ARE OFTEN DRIVEN BY A DESIRE TO CREATE A FEELING, NOT JUST A PRODUCT. THAT INTANGIBLE QUALITY THAT ALLOWS THE PERSON AND PRODUCT TO SHINE EQUALLY.”
